Another party

Right then, my mate Neph, he with whom I am due to walk the Ridgeway, has taken it upon himself to organise a party to celebrate the end of the year in the woods. Now details are, like Neph, a little sketchy at the moment but I believe the idea is to have in large in The Cellar in Oxford on July 1st.

I wondered why I had such a strong desire to walk The Ridgeway. I must have read an old Posting of yours where you say you are going to do some training by walking said Trail. So I was awake til 3am checking train times and now me n' him are off tomorrow to stroll through 42 miles in 3 days. (We ain'y young and lusty like yew.) Congrats on the End of the Year. Treesong

Ouch! Punching in all those details online always makes me feel so insecure. But it had to be done - one more donation towards the DitchMonkey total.

There are so many alternative lifestyles, so many paths. You'll surely find one - or more - that suits you in the future. (After that little matter of living in a jungle.) And I have so so so enjoyed reading your adventures, specially the soggy bits. (It's the way you tell them...) I didn't think you'd last thru February: you're tougher than me, and better at eating bacon butties. I thought of you, last time I was staying in Oxford, and using the Oxford Tube.

Must check when you were doing that sleep out? - I should be out under the apple trees by now anyway (in a tent; the easy way), but too lazy so far... would be a good way to see in the midsummer.

In the meantime, thank you for the sheer outrageous grace of going thru with it (and sharing the experience), and congratulations...

July 1st is the date of my hen night so me and the girls will raise a glass to a year in the woods. We may even sleep outdoors, not so much for a point of principle but more because last time I went on a hen night Louise gave my housekeys to a transvestite.
